GICLEÉS
This relatively new innovation in the printing process
captures most faithfully the essence of the original work. The term,
"gicleé" comes from the French word meaning "sprayed on". Simply
put, these
prints are made by computer scanning the original and then printing
with a
high-tech professional ink jet printer. The resulting print has a color
saturation, richness and detail that no other printing process can come
close to matching. Inks used in the gicleé process are
pigment-based rather than dye-based, which insures non-fading over
time. Rigorous testing has guaranteed the gicleé printing
process to be light fast for well over 100 years. These gicleés
are printed on 100% rag paper, personally
signed and numbered by the artist.
